Captain Kirk Displays Poor Management Techniques in the "Arena" Episode

This podcast shows the management flaws of Captain James Kirk.  He does not LEARN from his first officer and does not VALUE his first officer's opinion.  There are crew members that OFFER their expertise in this episode, but again the Captain does not regard their expertise as valuable.  Because of his obstinacy and his overall fixation on being the only one responsible for the crew and the vessel, he puts himself and his crew in danger.
